Well sort of… A month ago I found out that our current administrator was leaving her position at the office to move with her family to Texas. After learning more about the job, I have decided to take her place as Campus Outreach Atlanta’s Resource Director. I officially started this past Monday, and I’m excited to serve in a new way. As a quick overview, this new role will include:
Serving the Staff – When we serve the staff, we build laborers by freeing and equipping campus staff to develop Gospel-centered relationships with students on their campus.
Event Management – When we manage events well, we build laborers by creating an atmosphere conducive to spiritual growth for both staff and students.
Personal Ministry – When we have personal ministry, we build laborers by cultivating the spiritual growth of students and serving the needs of the local campus movement.
Public Relations – When we communicate thoroughly, we build laborers by informing those who have partnered with us so that they are equipped to support the ministry.
The picture below is the reason why I have felt great freedom to leave full-time campus ministry at North Georgia to serve the campus region from an administrative position. The Lord has been faithful to multiply laborers at North Georgia – the very thing I hoped and prayed would be accomplished through my time on campus. I am grateful for these women and their desire to see ministry continue on their campus.
"The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." - 2 Timothy 2: 2

Oh yay! Does this mean you are in Atlanta now? Are you living near Perimeter church?
ReplyDeleteI'm actually staying in Dahlonega for now! I'm in a lease until August, so I'll figure out what I'm going to do then.
ReplyDeleteI like all of the explanations of roles :)
