Every person that came in my room would tell me how I'm too young to be having one of these put in. You're telling me. It made it more real for me to hear them talk about my cancer... I'm still getting used to the idea. But they were all so great at the hospital that day. I was awake for the surgery and we talked the whole time. The PA who was putting it in actually used to be a pole vaulter! I think I lost my filter on the meds they gave me... About half way through some other guy showed up - I think mostly for the entertainment than for anything else!
Chemo starts next Monday and hopefully my insurance stuff will be worked out by then! I talked with a guy who oversees the insurance stuff for my doctor's practice and he said they may send me to the hospital for my first rounds of chemo until they get it straightened out. Needless to say, I am feeling much better about the insurance deal and will be staying with my doctor! YAY!
So glad you get to keep your doctor!! Our God is wonderful and faithful :)
ReplyDeleteI hope Melisa and I get to see you drugged up on medicine and without your filter sometime this summer!!
ReplyDeleteKira,
ReplyDeleteI know it was another rough day with insurance today. It's a shame and frustrating that you have to fight for something like insurance coverage at a time when you are trying to cope with such an emotional, traumatic event as cancer.
Keep the faith (which I know you will!) and it will work out. This may be an ongoing issue (just knowing the insurance process), but we will ALL be there for you ALL the way, including God - keep the faith.
It will work out, God loves you and will not forsake you.
I love you!
Momma
I like the new blog design!
